EDUCATION INNOVATION RESOURCES

Posted by Courtney Harritt, Program Curator

I’m always interested in seeing the landscape and future of education through the eyes of other people. Working in education, interacting with colleagues and students every day, I sometimes think I have it all figured out—but then someone or something comes across my path that humbles me, and again puts me in awe of the greater possibilities and opportunities that lie in the near future of education. Most recently this involved attending the annual Leadership Summit with USC's Rossier School of Education last week. I sat in a seminar about differentiating curriculum for advanced/gifted learners, and in another about online education and how technology is now advanced enough that face-to-face instruction is a scalable, viable option for interested programs.

As I drove away, I remembered an article from Good Magazine that I picked up a few months ago. Have you ever read Good? It was my second time, and an article about the possibilities in education caught my eye. Today the magazine is archiving information and resources online about Education Innovation. While I haven’t had a chance to fully dive into the content, I like what I see so far. Maybe this new blog at Thesys will have a similar mission—the people, projects and thoughts that catch our attention and can inspire us all to think about learning and learners in new ways. Until then, check out the goods: Good Guide to Education Innovation
